SCHOOL COMMITTEE MINUTES
April 4, 2009
The School Committee held a retreat on Saturday, April 4, at 9:00 a.m. in the Training Room, third floor, Town Hall. Vice Chair Blanchard called the meeting to order at 9:12 a.m.
Members Present: Anne Blanchard, Dirk Coburn, Karen Adelman Foster, David Margil, Amy Mistrot, Anne Zernicke
Members Absent: David Murphy
Others Present: Peter Sanchioni Superintendent
Jim Hardy MASC Field Representative
INTRODUCTION
Dr. Sanchioni introduced Jim Hardy of the Massachusetts Association of School Committees and welcomed the new members of the committee. Dr. Sanchioni left the meeting at 9:27 a.m.
MASC TRAINING
Mr. Hardy performed a brief version of the MASC’s training for School Committee members and took questions about the role of School Committee members and general questions about the process of policy making.
At 12:10 p.m., Mr. Coburn moved to adjourn. Mr. Margil seconded. It was unanimously approved.
