SCHOOL COMMITTEE MINUTES
March 16, 2009
The School Committee held a retreat on Monday, March 16, 2009 in the Training Room, 3rd Floor, Town Hall. Vice Chair, Anne Blanchard called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m.
Members Present: Mr. Dirk Coburn, Ms. Anne Zernicke, Ms. Karen Adelman Foster, Ms. Anne Blanchard, Mr. David Margil.
Members Absent: Mr. David Murphy. Mr. Meyler joined the meeting at 7:55 p.m.
Mr. Meyler took over chair of the meeting at 7:55 p.m.
A discussion ensued regarding the relationship between the School Committee, the Building Committee, the Procurement Administrator and the Owner’s Project Manager. It was agreed that Ms. Adelman Foster and Ms. Blanchard would work on a draft document outlining roles and responsibilities that the School Committee and Building Committee could review.
At 8:50 p.m., Chairman Meyler requested an Executive Session to discuss contract provisions in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 39, Section 23B of the Massachusetts General Laws. Ms. Blanchard moved for approval to enter into Executive Session. Mr. Coburn seconded. By roll call vote of those present, it was unanimously approved to enter into Executive Session.
At 10:40 p.m. the committee returned to open session. At 10:41 p.m., Ms. Anne Blanchard moved to adjourn. Mr. Margil seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
