SCHOOL COMMITTEE RETREAT

The School Committee held a retreat on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 9:00 p.m. in the Staff Training Room, Town Hall. Chairman Wynn called the meeting to order at 9:00 p.m.
Members Present: Karen Adelman Foster, Anne Blanchard, Dirk Coburn, Stephen Meyler, David Murphy, Rick Wynn, Anne LaPlace Zernicke
Members Absent: None
Others present: Jacqueline Roy, J. A. Roy Associates, Superintendent Search Consultant
DISCUSSION OF SUPERINTENDENT RECRUITMENT BROCHURE
Discussion was held about the content, layout, and printing of the superintendent recruitment brochure.
DISCUSSION OF A BOSTON GLOBE AD
Discussion was held about the size, placement, and cost of a prospective Boston Globe advertisement.
GENERAL DISCUSSION OF POSSIBLE COMPENSATION FOR A NEW SUPERINTENDENT
General discussion was held about different ways superintendents are compensated and the ranges of compensation expected by superintendents.
At 10:45 p.m., Mr. Stephen Meyler moved to adjourn. Ms. Anne Blanchard seconded. It was unanimously approved.
