A Message From The Chief
Welcome to the Natick Police Department Web Site. The purpose of this site and its links is to provide resident site visitors and viewers from outside of Natick with an overview of the department’s activities and a look to the future as we face the challenges that lie ahead. The department was reorganized in the year 2000 from the long-standing sector/beat assignments to an Area Command with one commander and a complement of supervisors and officers responsible for not only traditional patrol, but also for collaborating with one another and area residents to develop solutions to problems before they reach higher levels of neighborhood disruption or criminal activity. Area Commanders monitor criminal activity, situations, and events within their area of responsibility and develop plans accordingly. Follow-up at department
staff meetings ensures that issues are addressed timely.
Natick is fortunate to enjoy a relatively low crime rate, but in keeping with the Town’s stated goal of continuous improvement, we remain concerned about and are committed to enhancing the quality of life for all of those who live and work in our community. To that end, we will continue to work with neighborhood groups to quickly deal with problems as they arise. We welcome comments and suggestions that will help us fulfill our commitment to excellence in providing police services. For more information about the Department click here see our department report.
Sincerely,
Dennis R. Mannix
Chief of Police
