- Presentation by representatives of Broadwater Capital Management, advisors to the Trustees. The Garcias reviewed the current market conditions, the firm’s investment philosophy and recent actions that they have taken to enhance the condition of the Corporation’s investment portfolio. Their presentation utilized a number of charts and graphs tracing the current conditions and composition of the portfolio and long-term earnings and current net value. The gentlemen responded to a number of questions posed by the Trustees over the course of an hour. Note: The Broadwater Management personnel will make the next presentation at the October 13, 2009 meeting of the Board of Trustees.
- Dr. Keefe reviewed the status of the search for a new Director. Currently, the Trustees, Town Administrator and Mrs. McKenna have interviewed two finalists. Two more finalist interviews are scheduled for May 15th. We are in receipt of letters of recommendation for the five finalists that will be assembled in packets along with the perceptions from the Supervisors and made available to the Search Committee. It will be necessary to schedule an additional meeting at which time, we hope, the Search Committee can come to consensus on a Director.
- The Board unanimously voted to support the replacement of Ayako Barnum, part-time reference staff whose last day is May 28th.
