Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes

July 10, 2007
Trustees Present: Joseph A. Keefe, Kathleen Donovan and Harriet Buckingham,
Gerald Mazor and Elliot Goodman
Administration Present: Paula Polk, Library Director
Staff Present: Dell Redington
Call to Order: 4 pm
1. The minutes of the June 12, 2007 meeting were approved.
2. The Board voted to cancel the August meeting of the Board of Trustees*.
3. The Board voted to seek proposals for new security system and accompanying services.
4. The Board approved an honorarium for Ms. Craig’s out-of-pocket expenses for her development activities.
5. Ms. Polk reported on the Library’s participation in the Town’s Fourth of July activities.
She distributed photos of the staff’s participation in the parade, along with Trustee Ms.
Donovan.
The Hootenanny was a successful event with attendance well over 100.
6. Ms. Polk stated:
· Union contract was approved by both parties.
· Summer programs are flourishing
· Library has received $30,000 for the Oral History Project
