Call to Order: 4:00 pm
1. The minutes of the November 14, 2006 meeting were approved.
2. The Board approved the final version of the ’06 Audit prepared by Paretsky Flitt & Company.
3. The Board approved the Strategic Plan for period 2007 – 2010. Ms. Donovan and Ms. Craig described the process used to develop this plan and for the future use thereof.
4. The Board unanimously approved accepting a gift of $455.00 from the Middlesex Savings Bank Charitable Foundation.
5. Mr. Genovese led a lengthy discussion on the FY’08 budget. This discussion will continue into the January ’07 Trustees meeting.
6. Holiday Closings – The library will be closed December 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31 and January 1, 2007.
7. Ms. Craig reported on the $4,000 gift that was received from the Cognex Corporation.
8. Ms. Craig reported on the Annual Fund mailing. The library has received total funds of $190,000 since July 1, 2006. $32,500 of these funds are unrestricted.
As of November 24, 2006, there have been 46 new donors, for a total of $3,385.00.
9. The YA Room is nearing completion with the new carpentry and fixtures.
10. Mr. Genovese reviewed the library use statistics. He indicated that a new reference librarian will come on board in January.
